The ResortQuest Pelican Beach is a high-rise condominium resort directly on the beach in the heart of the Destin resort area. The resort is a complete family getaway destination. Spacious one-bedroom two-bathroom apartments feature complete at home comfort including fully equipped kitchens and separate living rooms with VCRs on which to enjoy complimentary video movies. All apartments have large balconies overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The resort offers two swimming pools including one indoor lap-pool with swim out to the outdoor pool. Other recreational facilities include kiddies pool - two lighted tennis courts - shuffle board court - video game room - a program for children in the summer - and gas barbecue grills. I just returned from a week stay at the terrace at the pelican resort with family and friends. The only good thing about our stay is that our 3 bed 2 bath had alot of room for the 8 adults and child that stayed. To start the short walk from the condo to the beach like we were told was not short when you have an broken shoulder trying to carry your things and an pregnant girlfriend. Yet they did have a shuttle that talk about from 8 am till 6 pm. When we called they were to busy for us. We got it one time in 7 days. And when you get to the beach good luck cause we would set up early and there staff would be putting chairs on the beach everywhere and start putting up the umbrellas when no one was sitting there. You could not even see the beach. The chairs were in no order and most of the time people werent even in them. No lie they wouldnt even leave a path to walk down to the beach. Also they offered a free beach photo so you could look at them when you got back home and then buy. We made plans to take them,show up, and they werent even there, we were not happy. O yeah have fun with the room KEY you have to use a lock box everytime you come and go. Also plan on getting your own ice every day cause they want supply it. An ice maker for 9 people doesnt last long.If you like to walk, like staring at umbrellas on the beach instead of watching your kids and staying most of your time at one of the two pools,depending on the one the time of day it isnt blocked by the sun then this is your place!!!
