We were at the Resortquest Waikiki Sunset for Christmas of 2004 and we loved it there, so much in fact we are returning again this Christmas.

We were there for twelve days and the only thing that we found were that sometimes the elevators were a bit congested, but other then that it was great.

The hotel was great, but there was no restaurant in the hotel. The concierge was great and always willing to help with anything. Everything was fine, I wished we had a view of the ocean, not the mountains.

This hotel made me feel content: I felt relaxed and content.

I am somewhat likely to return to the ResortQuest Waikiki Sunset.
I might recommend it to friends.

We stayed in the Sunset from Jan 17 to 28, 2007.

The front desk and all other staff were very helpful and extremely polite. We needed assistance the first night we arrived in Honolulu as our accommodation in a nearby hotel was not large enough. The two bedroom unit in the Sunset which we ended up staying in for 11 nights was spacious, nicely decorated and had an excellent view of Diamondhead and the ocean.

The daily maid service was done every day on a timely basis and was done well.

The sunset is easy walking distance to the beach, shops for food (if you want to prepare your own meals) and souvenirs, eating establishments, walk-in-clinic in case you need medical attention and nearby pickup spots for arranged touring around the island.

The staff at the Sunset was great about advising on which tours to take and places to visit on the island were extremely helpful.

The last time my wife and i visited Hawaii was 26 years ago. We will definitely not wait another 26 years and we will definitely stay at the Waikiki sunset. I highly recommend it.

One final point: I noticed in the posted reviews on the internet that one problem with the sunset was the very slow elevators. That was absolutely not an issue. If anything, they were very fast.

My so called "condo" was just a room with a small kitchen. I was told it was across from the beach, it's three blocks away. The room could use some TLC and updating. I was a bit disappointed, but did not let it ruin my trip. On a positive note, the staff was very good.

I am somewhat likely to return to the ResortQuest Waikiki Sunset.
I might recommend it to friends.

We had a city view 'condo' on the 33rd floor. The view was the only nice thing about the hotel. There is no fitness facility, or restaurant. The rooms are very dated and in need of updates. The bathroom faucet had a leak and was not in the cleanest condition.

I am not likely to return to the ResortQuest Waikiki Sunset.
I would not recommend it to friends.

I liked the hotel's great location and the adequate rooms. The kitchen needs more pots/pans, though. Plus, it was noisy at times (because of kids in the hall).

I am very likely to return to the ResortQuest Waikiki Sunset.
I might recommend it to friends.

My husband and decided on The Sunset as it appeared to be a great value for the price. We were not disappointed. We were in Waikiki to attend two family weddings. After visiting other guests in their pricier hotel rooms, we were totally convinced that we had made the wisest choice. Check in was easy, the coffee was enjoyed and the extra space of a condo and view was more than appreciated. We soon learned that we were within walking distance of virtually everything which made us glad that we didn't opt to rent a car. The staff was friendly, the maid service was great and we were happy just sitting on the lanai in down time and enjoying the trade winds. It was our first trip the Islands and was so memorable that we would love to return, even though the flight from the East Coast was grueling, but worth it.

I am very likely to return to the ResortQuest Waikiki Sunset.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

It was too far from the beach and shops. It was supposed to be a condo and it was a hotel room. The room was small and the dishes were dirty.

I am not likely to return to the ResortQuest Waikiki Sunset.
