40 year old female with a economy budget, traveling for leisure
I liked the great view of the beach and thee maid service was accommodating. The complimentary breakfast buffet was nice, if short on vegetarian offerings some mornings. The hotel has an excellent location.
This hotel made me feel inspired: The location and the view from our little balcony were beautiful. I spent hours watching people on the beach and some mornings groups of dancers held practice, for example.

The hotel has convenient beach access as it is across the street. They serve wonderful free hot breakfast every morning with live Hawaiian music. It is convenient to the local bus transportation. The hotel has nice views.

The free breakfast each morning was wonderful. Being able to take it down to the beach was a nice touch. It is on the quiet side of Waikiki Beach, but easily within walking distance of the heart of it. The staff was pleasant and friendly! I highly recommend it.
This hotel made me feel content: It was a nice place to go after a day of exploring the island. It was clean, secure and pleasant.

35 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
The linens and the towels were old and stained. The front desk staff was not very friendly. The room was with ocean view but it was at far back of hotel with only a slight angled view of ocean. The air conditioning unit did not work as expected. The included breakfast was very disappointing, we ate at another hotel instead. Overall, it is just not a very luxurious or pleasant place to stay. However, my travel agent reported my complaints to the hotel manager and I was generously compensated by Resort Quest. Based on that, I would give the brand another chance, but not at the Waikiki Beach Hotel.

The hotel is old, but well maintained. The benefit of the attached parking was great. It was easy to navigate to when driving. The location is incredible.
We had a partial ocean view on the 24th floor with an incredible view of Diamond Head. The rooms were not much larger than the two beds, but that did not really matter. We did not go to Hawaii to sit in a room watching TV. You can access the beach right across the street with and without the protective barrier. That is waves or no waves. Our section of the beach was not as crowed as others. Do not be daunted that it is on the far end of Kalakaua Avenue by the zoo. This turned out to be something my family really liked about this location. If was very much fun to walk the length of Kalakaua Avenue to get to the International Market Place.
We are planning on returning to Hawaii in 6 years and we are going to look to this hotel once again for lodging. I rated this hotel an 8. In my mind it would not be worth spending the money to stay in a hotel that I would rate a 9 or 10. The hotel was clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the services offered were helpful.

The location was excellent. I was able to see the whole beach from my hotel window. The bathroom could have been a little nicer but it was a great value for the price.
This hotel made me feel comfortable: The beds were relaxing and the maid was very nice.

A poor value

I booked through the Hawaiian Airlines web site, and I paid in advance ($150+). When I arrived, I was given a room on the fifth floor, overlooking the parking lot and the tenement apartments next door. I had to sign additional 'no smoking or $200' waiver for my non-smoking room and found burn marks on the furniture anyway. The bathtub wouldn't drain, and I had to listen to road noise and the generator. There was no coffeemaker in the room, either.
I am not likely
to return to the ResortQuest Waikiki Beach Hotel.
I
might recommend it to friends.

The hotel was beautiful and incredibly comfortable. The complimentary breakfast on the beach was delicious and a lot of fun. It was great being right by the beach. I would definitely stay there again.
This hotel made me feel comfortable: The bed was more comfortable than most hotels. There were a lot of on-site amenities. The staff did everything they could to help me when I asked.
