46 year old man with a moderate budget, traveling for business
Stay away from room 3002 in this hotel/condo. Each room is owned not by the hotel but by individuals, thus the front desk does not want to help you with any problems. The pictures in the internet were fantastic but the room was disgusting. Dirty, very very small (pictures looked large because of wall to wall mirrors. Kitchen dirty, old coffee still in pot. Beds had 2 very skinny and very short twins in the master bedroom that was 8x8 at the most. The other beds that slept 4 additional adults were actually 2 old, hard, very hard, short and narrow futons. No laundry or maid service ever. Did have very nice 42 inch plasma TV. Views of the ocean were good. The kitchen had a large fridge and microwave. The single window air conditioner air did not work until I took it apart myself and found it was seriously 1 block of solid ice. Took 2 days to defrost, then I could get to the dirty filter that was blocked. Oh yeah, the fine print tells you you have to totally clean it before you leave including the windows and mirrors or a $200 fine will occur. I emailed my problems to the email address with no response except a phone call telling me he left 2 extra cheap towels to help mop up the block of Ice. The wallpaper was peeling off the bathroom walls. The shower curtain was slimy with mildew, and I seriously had to clean it before my wife would shower in it. If this had been a hotel I would have immediately walked out and got a refund, but You have to pay upfront with the owner so we were out of luck. Our boys came home with cricks in their necks from the muscle spasms from the futons.

My daughter and I stayed at the Pacific Monarch from Jan. 3rd - 13th, 2008, and our room was located on the Penthouse Floor, Room # 3205.
The view from our room was absolutely stunning!
The Pacific Monarch's staff, from Housekeeping to the Front Desk were all courteous, friendly and helpful.
This hotel is located a very short block from Waikiki beach, one of the most well known and beautiful beaches in the world.
The room was very nicely decorated, well equipped kitchenette and comfortable.
I would definitely recommend this hotel, and I hope to visit this property again in the future.
Mahalo,
Debbie

I have stayed here at least eight times in over fifteen years of travel. The rooms were refurbished, at least the ones I lived in. Their staff is very pleasant. It's in a very good location and at a very good price, too. There's a supermarket one corner away, so you may cook your own meals with a well equipped kitchen in the apartments.
I am
very likely
to return to the ResortQuest Pacific Monarch.
I
would definitely recommend it to
friends.
