Residence Inn by Marriott Hauppauge Hotel - Page 1

We spent 3 miserable nights here. The beds were old and very uncomfortable. When we asked to change rooms we were told "they are all just as bad." They put an old board under the mattress. Staff avoids complaints by talking among themselves and ignoring customers. Restrooms, rugs and rooms are dirty. I brought in breakfast for my husband as the toaster did not work and the food was so unhealthy. A complaint to customer service led to a "form" email from the manager. A second complaint just brought the same email. Obviously people are not a priority here!

The floors were very dirty. The refrigerator in one of the rooms (we rented two one-bedroom apartments) was not plugged in -- therefore not cold. We had to call room service. We pulled it out and discovered it was unplugged. The other room had a very bad odor coming from the ventilation system.

This hotel was an average Residence Inn. There were not many services nearby, but the distance from New York was manageable.

This hotel made me feel welcome: The staff at the hotel were very friendly and they were willing to help you out in any way possible.
