35 year old with a moderate budget, traveling for business

This Residence has regular hotel rooms, not the small apartment style rooms that all the other Residence Inns feature. So the separate living area is just a few feet of space between the windows and the bed. The kitchen is in the narrow hallway between the entrance door and the bed.

While the description of the rooms says that there is a sofa bed, you only get a small upholstered chair -- no extra bed and no place for more than one person to sit.

There is no desk and the internet connection is located in the corner of the room next to the bed. Since there is no desk, you have to work with your laptop on your lap or balanced on a tiny bedside table that shares a lamp.

The Full Kitchen is a two burner cook top, a full sized fridge and a half-size dishwasher. There are no counter tops and only a bar-sized sink.

When I complained to the manager that I was paying way too much for a regular hotel room (I expected a Residence Inn room), she stated that a chair is a sofa bed and that a hallway is a a full kitchen.

When I asked to compensation for having misleading information on my room reservation, she offered a tiny bit of money off my bill, but that credit never appeared.

She was rude and loud when she kept repeating that I got the room I reserved, even though the reservation says Sofa bed and separate living area.

Marriott should not be calling this property a Residence Inn -- it is like no other Residence Inn and I've stayed thousands of nights in these types of properties.

Avoid this place at all costs -- it's not worth the extra money over a Hampton Inn or a Fairfield. This is a low end Spring Break type hotel, not an extended stay or business hotel.
