Residence Inn by Marriott Clear Lake Hotel - Page 1

The hotel was fine, but not for the price. They had just changed their policy regarding the government rate and we no longer qualified. However, they did not inform us that we did not qualify in a timely manner so that we could switch to a different hotel within our business travel budget.

This is a great place to stay. The extras they offer more than cover for the extra expense of the room. It's much more like staying at home than any other hotel I've stayed in.

I was charged for phone calls I did not make and the manager was initially unwilling to remedy the situation. It took over a week to get them to reverse the charge. I am a gold member of Marriott and do not appreciate the poor service.

This hotel made me feel pampered: They provided a hot breakfast and a small evening meal inclusive of the rate.

The location was quite nice. We enjoyed the view of the trees and flowers. There are several restaurants nearby and a Starbucks. It is on a road that is very busy, so rush hour traffic made it difficult to get back. However, the convenience of the location and staff made it a very pleasant stay. All of the linens were fresh and clean and the rest of the room was lovely. The hotel is set far enough back from the road the traffic noise is not an issue. It was a nice trip, even if it was just business.

This hotel made me feel respected: The front desk staff referred to my husband and me as Mr. and Mrs. Most places no longer concern themselves with customer service.

I also stayed (same trip) at Residence Inn Alamo Plaza San Antonio. I almost always stay at Marriott properties because of their consistent and good quality/value.
