The convenience of a hot breakfast and dinner was a blessing. The room had an odd odor.“We were so pleased to find it so conveniently located to the metro and capitol mall. The hot breakfast and dinner/dessert options were a life saver! The exercise...

We loved it. This hotel is located just south of the Mall and the Capitol building. It's just a short walk to the Metro station, but only blocks off the mall near the Air and Space museum so you can easily walk to the sites. The suites were clean, modern, reasonably priced, had a full kitchen and separate bedroom. If you like to cook your own food, they offer grocery shopping if you leave a list in the morning and will deliver that same day.
We found a fantastic seafood restaurant only 2 short blocks away (Market Inn). The pool was small, but the kids didn't mind. Free hot breakfast was available every day, as well as a delicious dessert buffet one night. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Nice atmosphere in the lobby/lounge area.
The only problem we had was interference on the TVs from the hvac unit. We just turned it off when watching TV.

The location is dead at night, there are no restaurants around. It has a good location for the Metro. The staff for breakfast and dinner was very cheerful and they seemed to like their jobs. The room made me feel like I was at home.
The staff is pleasant and it seems to like their jobs. They greet you when you leave in the morning and when you come back at night, if they are not servicing another guest.
I am very likely
to return to the Residence Inn Washington, DC /Capitol.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
