26 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for business
I resided at the Residence Inn for three months on business. The hotel was very clean and the employees of the hotel were very pleasant. However, I did have over $5000.00 in checks stolen from my personel possessions. I'm a platinum elite marriott rewards member and I have never resided in a Marriott hotel that I was skeptical of the housekeeping. Any Marriott hotel that I've stayed in the housekeepers have not touched anything of mine, an open suitecase on the bed will get you an unmade bed and a courtesy phone call/message letting you know that the bed was unmade because of the open suitcase. When the incident occured I immediately contacted the manager in charge. She appeared concerned, but not once offered to call the police, so I did. A police report was filed, and I was moved to a different room. From my understanding each housekeeper is assigned the same room each day which I recommended that management give that information to the police. I really don't think they did because one of the employees told me the name of the housekeeper that cleaned my room daily. Needless to say, I requested that my room only be cleaned in the afternoon when I was there to witness what was being done. My stay became very unpleasant and I was very unsatisfied with my stay. I was also very disappointed with management.

The carpets were bad and need to be replaced immediately. They were so bumpy that we tripped on it several times. The room was undersized and not worth the price we paid.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Residence Inn Savannah Midtown.
I might recommend it to friends.
