Word of warning - do not stay in this hotel. The two times I have stayed at this hotel, the rooms have been less than tidy and I have had items taken from my room. The first time in Aug of 08, I had a 6 pack of water bottles taken from my room...

The hotel was located in a prime downtown location. Pioneer Park is right across the street and Gateway Mall is just a few blocks away. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, and the rooms were absolutely awesome. The continental breakfast was one of the best I have ever had, the food was warm, tasty and provided a great variety of choices. I highly recommend this hotel.
The property was well laid out, making it easy to get from the front desk to your room. The rooms were extremely comfortable and had a lot of room, making it feel like we weren't on top of each other, that we had room to move without bumping into each other or the furniture in the room.
I am very likely
to return to the Residence Inn Salt Lake City - City Center.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was very large and clean. The parking is a bit difficult with a large vehicle and the pool is very small, but over all, it was the best hotel we stayed at during our family vacation.

Marriott tends to outperform other hotels I visit...but it is the level of service across the chain I value. My only sub-par service was in Florida, and Marriott's response went a long way to ameliorate my concerns and satisfy my wife in the matter

Excellent
The help with our room the night we checked in was wonderful and breakfast was great!When I called to make sure we had 2 beds the hotel employee was very rude and unhelpful. Overall the hotel was a great place to stay and I will stay there again....
