Residence Inn Markham Hotel - Page 1

Stayed here while my home was being renovated in early July, 2007.

Location: Great location, near Times Square and right off the highway(not too far from downtown Toronto)

Facilities: Pool was large in size and clean all the time I was there with my family. Fitness areas were never crowded either.

Staff: Helpful and friendly, they really make the hotel rise above anything that Markham/Richmond Hill have to offer.

Many places to eat in the area and provide for a nice weekend stay from home.

Rooms: Comfy beds, fluffy pillows, much better than rooms at the Hilton Markham.

Overall, I will stay at the Residence Inn Markham if I need to be close to home while I can't stay at home.

Location:

- Right away, the hotel's location made the stay feel like it was at a typical vacation spot, even if it was located within the city. The hotel's location is off Leslie half a block South of Highway 7, placing it a bit further from the main traffic, and hence alot more private and quiet (compared to the nearby Hilton).

Amenities:

- The amenities include a decent sized indoor pool and whirl pool. There is a small fitness centre and a lovely outdoor tennis court. They are very well placed, clean, and adds to the hotel's overall comfort.

Service:

- I found the staff courteous and friendly, however they aren't there 24hrs.

- They offer free hot breakfast buffet every morning!

Suites:

- The rooms are modern and very large, neat in appearance, and clean.

- It had a separate living and sleeping area, as well as full kitchen. There are no worries as they provide everything from full refrigerator, stove, microwave, pots, pans, utensils, and most importantly the full sized kitchen sink. The kitchen area itself is quite spacious and has a convenient breakfast bar.

- The bathroom area is well designed with washroom and separate powder room area. This makes it easier to use the sink and mirror while someone else can use the washroom.

Overall Impression:

- For the price the features, service, room size, and overall comfort is amazing!

Excellent price for such a hotel. Rooms were a small suite and included a living room area with a tv and with attached kitchen with everything you need, there's a seperate door to the sleeping area and also another tv. There is a washroom, and a seperate powder room so when you have multiple people living in the room with you, you don't have to wait all day for the washroom if all you want to do is brush your teeth or fix your hair.

Refrigerator, dish washing machine, stove, sink, all the pots/pans, dishes, utensils, cooking tools.

The lobby also included a pantry where you can purchase some small food items to cook.

Lobby staff were very friendly but they aren't open 24 hrs, the lobby staff closes at 11pm so be sure you have everything you need and check in before 11pm.

I enjoyed staying at this hotel and would definately return!
