48 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for business
This is an older Residence Inn, but well-maintained. I've stayed here about 8 times total. I think it is probably the best spot in Flagstaff.
The rooms are spacious and many have fireplaces. It's across the street from a golf-course, and within driving distance to skiing and also Sedona. It's also across from the mall (which is pretty tiny). If you haven't been to Flagstaff, it's a heavily wooded hilly area, which is not what I was expecting for Arizona.
This area is particularly good for people with pets and kids. There's a huge enclosed grassy area to let dogs and kids play and they enforce a strict clean-up policy for the pets. On a long drive, it's nice to let them have a place to play.
The pool and spa looked enticing, although I've never used them. They have the standard Residence Inn hot breakfast (eggs, sausage, waffles, etc), the weekday happy hours with wine and snacks, and a mini-mart.
The only thing I'd be aware of is the cancellation policy. It's 24 hours if you book through the hotel, but 48 if you book through the internet. *shrug*
I highly recommend it. But bring a coat, as Flagstaff is pretty chilly at night.
