The package i paid for was for a room with a Queen or King or 2 Double Beds. Instead we got a room, or actually a box, that had 2 twin beds. I called to complain but they said they were sold out that weekend and couldn't change the room. The area ...

32 year old with a economy budget, traveling for leisure
Hello my name is Mya, i stayed here about 1 week ago with my family who was traveling from Australia and had our rooms booked through flight center a booking agency from our country, anyways before i start this is not to bag on the staff of this hotel, especially Francisco a super young man who almost gave his left arm for us, everything from greetings us genuinely at the door, to answering every question with extreme precision and he was just plain fun. Francisco if you ever find this you are such a great employee, and you need not to be working here. The hotel was absolutely gaslty, no heaters in the room, dirty carpets. There was breakfast announced , no restaurant in the end, booooo internet at ten dollars an hour, smelly rooms, crackhead central. Francisco i hope to see you at the Ritz Carlton soon thats were you belong Your services 100 times out do your current hotel, good luck buddy.

The hotel itself is ok, but it is surrounded by strip clubs. If you take a cab back and forth it might be ok. The streets around this hotel are unsafe during the day, at night I wouldn't have wanted to walk even 1/2 block. The beds were very small - ...

if your idea of a hotel stay is a suburban Mariott or high rise Hilton, then you're not going to like the Renoir. If, however you like feeling like you're part of the city you're in rather than being insulated from it, then you'll like this place....

Horrible
The area of town was horrible. The hotel had a bad smell to it. The hotel was old and run down. Said it was recently refurbished, not sure where. Not really close to Fisherman's warf, if you were there on a Vacation. Did not feel safe at all.
Do yourself and your family and DO NOT STAY in this garbage hotel. It is old, it is dirty and it's in a neighborhood full of homeless and drug addicts people.
One of the only 2 elevators were not working and I was told by the personnel that it's been broken for over 2 months! The other elevator that is working is about to break, it makes weird noises and takes 15 minutes to arrive at your floor.
The lobby area has 4 couches which are all dirty and old, I actually found garbage underneath the cushion. There were pieces of garbage all around the floor which is covered by a dirty carpet and we even saw COCKROACHES on the front office desk. That's right, COCKROACHES!
The rooms are as simple as it gets, the TV was not working and there was a shortage of hot water in the shower. We didn't even have the courage to see what was under our sheets, but it's safe to say that it's old and dusty. The sheets and blankets were dirty and stained, probably from 10 years ago, as were the stairwell that makes cracking noises and you feel like you're going to fall.
Overall this was the WORST hotel experience I ever had in my life and with some many decent hotels in San Francisco, there's absolutely no point in staying in this ugly, old piece of garbage shelter. It's not only bad, it's also dangerous!
Any hostel is much better than this.
Do yourself and your family a big favor and stay away from this CRAP.
