Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice hotel, clean rooms, nice size. Walls and windows thin, can hear street noise from 5th floor and hear guests in next room clearly. Internet access only in lobby and often not working during morning.

Good
A no frills place, on Market Street, not far from the Cable Car station, walking distance to the Westfield shopping mall and the convention center. We paid an excellent rate for a summer weekend, the location was convenient for what we wnated to do...
People have to realize that this location is truly terrible. As a San Francisco resident I am always horrified that hoteliers will say areas like Civic Center, upper Market Street are great locations. Even if they renovate the hotel today you are in an area that is bad at night and so-so at midday. It's also worth avoiding the Ramada on Market street for the same reason.
