Renaissance Toronto Hotel Downtown Resort - Page 1

This past weekend I took my two boys to see Detroit play Toronto at Rogers Centre or Skydome if you're old school. We booked one of their field view rooms and while it was a little more money overall I saved on the ticket cost. The room had a great view of the field and I'm sure our seats were more comfortable than the seats in Rogers Centre. The room was very clean and had a fridge for the boys snacks. The service in the hotel was very pleasant and the food in the restaurant was very good. I deffinately recomend the hotel for a baseball experiance.

I’ve stayed in Toronto quite a few times, but this is the first at this particular hotel. I absolutely loved it and will return the next time I’m in town!! The staff was incredible, very friendly and accommodating. I had dinner in the restaurant while watching the baseball game and the service was spectacular, not to mention the really good food!! Highly recommend this hotel, whether it be for a single business traveler or a family vacation.

This hotel is located downtown Toronto, yet not to much in the hustle and bustle. It is located on the Lake Shore overlooking a beautiful water scene. It also over-looks an open Theater where they show live performances. They have a wonderful restaurant at the very top of the hotel where you can see all of downtown, not to mention very exquisite dining. It is still walking distance from Toronto’s Blue Jay Skydome which was a positive for my family’s large interest in baseball. The CN Tower was nearby along with many restaurants. The lobby is kind of small but the rooms are very large. Nice for the refine, elegant, and mature.

The location of this hotel was great. The staff was very friendly. The lobby is very modern looking. The room was fair but the pool was a bit of a disappointment.

I’ve stayed at this hotel twice. Great experience both times!

Rooms: Spacious, much bigger than at other downtown hotels.

Pool: A little over-chlorinated but not too bad. Nice whirlpool and sauna.

Fitness center: Didn’t go in, but looked in. Fitness center was huge, but was also packed. I believe hotel guests use the Blue Jays’ facilities.

Restaurant/Bar: Haven't tried. There are so many other places to go in Toronto.

Great service from the front desk staff. Always quick and friendly.

Overall, I love this hotel... the one downside is its location.

The hotel is right downtown, but a 10-15 minute walk from anything else, including transit. The walk is fine during summer, but it's not fun during freezing cold winter nights!

If the hotel were closer to transit, I’d easily rate it a 9 or 10.
