Enjoyed our weekend stay! The room was clean and comfortable. I really liked the bright colors and soft feel to the hotel. Staff was helpful and courteous! Would stay again and looking fward to our next Tampa trip.

When one travels as much as I do, the great, good, bad, and ugly are very apparent, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I'm a Platinum Elite Member with Marriott and live in their hotels practically. Please take my advice on this property.

My two friends and I were celebrating a friend’s birthday and I had booked a room at the Renaissance Tampa Hotel as a surprise. Although it was her birthday, my friends and I purchased the romance package because she has not had luck in relationships lately. She was greeted with roses, chocolate and champagne. The room was also gorgeous and really impressed us. If that wasn't enough, the Pelagia Trattoria, a restaurant located inside the hotel was absolutely amazing. I ordered the grilled Ahi tuna and almost melted, I am not sure what everyone else had because I was so into my dish. We were so full by the end of the meal; we did not even want birthday cake. That was later saved for at night when we got to share the champagne and just relax. The next morning when we woke up we treated her to a spa day, which was amazing, and really convenient because we could walk to it from the hotel. I am usually a workaholic but this hotel really gave me a chance to bond with my friend on her birthday. I cannot wait to go back for another girl's night out!

Decent bar and bar menu/food.Self parking was ridiculous; rooms tacky; walls thin. Great hotel if you want to stay next to an upscale mall. Otherwise, stay at the Intercontinental.

Good location. that's it.SM outdated rooms/sm bathrooms/no frig/old TV. Location good/ however for a 4 star hotel expected bigger rooms. Linens and towels were like razor blades. No Minibar or fridge in case of leftovers at diner. Vending machines...
