You don't have to be a fan of the Hollywood scene to be captivated by the breathtaking beauty of this region visible from your window in a room or suite at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel. Some will care to know that this is the hotel where celebrities stand in waiting to receive their Oscars presented at the Kodak Theatre which is connected to the property. Staying at the Renaissance is a recommended experience, even for Southern California locals who want a change of pace. We spent only one night but are eager to return for another adventure. The Hollywood Hills with the famous HOLLYWOOD letters, skyscrapers of downtown Los Angeles, West Hollywood and the Pacific Ocean all glisten magically in the distance. Shopping, dining and even a Starbucks are outside your hotel door and at the bottom of the stairs are the Hollywood Walk of Fame and Grauman's Chinese Theatre. What we enjoyed most was the variety of restaurants and bars in the connecting shopping plaza. From Wolfgang Puck's Vert to affordable cafe dining, there are over a dozen restaurants to explore and some interesting shops selling clothing, teas, shoes and gifts. Take some great photos, have fantastic meals and book a suite at the Renaissance. It would be a nice birthday gift for a friend, loved one or yourself.

I stayed at this hotel when it was the Holiday Inn Hollywood back in May of '81. The room I had was just two floors below the rooftop restaurant, it was very clean and neat, it had an excellent view of Los Angeles, and at night, it was lit up just like a fairyland.
Unfortunately at the time, Hollywood was very rundown and very decrepit. I compared it to some of the worst neighborhoods in Philadelphia.
I would definitely not stay in Hollywood again. I don't feel safe staying there, despite the good location.

Horrible
Not one thing.Location, size, room quality, room service quality all poor. I don't know who does your ratings but this one missed the mark by a long shot! It may have 4-star prices but it is a 2-3star hotel for sure.

I am very picky about hotels, especially about the cleanliness. This is the only hotel that I have stayed in where I do not have one complaint. There are never any stains, smells, dust, dirt left over from other guests. The hotel feels very safe and the staff is friendly and helpful. I have used the business center on more than one occasion and it is very reasonably priced. I would definitely stay there again. The only complaint would be that it is not convenient to get to your car if you self park. You have to park in the parking garage for the mall attached to the hotel and walk through the mall to enter the hotel. That is a bit annoying, but it would not preclude me from staying there in the future.
It is clean and quiet. I feel secure.
I am very likely
to return to the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel & Spa.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
