The live band and dancing at the bar was the best part of my stay.

This hotel made me feel excited: I expected the business trip to be very boring, since I wouldn't be leaving the hotel, but the dancing at the bar was fun and enjoyable.

It has an excellent locale and a super staff.

It’s a beautiful, relaxing, and comfortable property. The employees are friendly and casual, yet professional. You always feel welcome and will enjoy your stay and be looking forward to your next.

They have wonderful pillows and great mattresses.

The hotel was nice for a family vacation. We liked the pool and the fitness center.

I have been going to this hotel since its opening. One more bad experience will be my last.

Given it was 114 degrees we had a great time staying here. They do a great job of catering to kids with poolside movies; cool-off crafts and a lot of fun swimming activities. They also had sponsored a cooking event that was a lot of fun for my kids.

The rooms were spacious and the onsite amenities catered to what mom and dad needed (good food; good wine; golf; spa).

My kids can't wait to go back, but this time not in August.

After an 18 hour trek from the East Coast we were looking forward to another pleasant stay. Arriving around midnight with a prepaid and guaranteed reservation in hand, we were told that no rooms were available. Unbelievably, the staff said it was due to guests not vacating their rooms and there was nothing available.

The Esmeralda directed us close by (10 miles) to the JW Marriott resort for which they picked up the room charge for the evening. It was a nice gesture, but we were on an expense account.

Imagine our surprise when upon entering the lobby of the JW we were confronted with a massive construction project in the main lobby. I mean a major excavation with a huge dirt pile and hole in the ground. Several rooms, including ours, overlooked this site and concrete dust was everywhere.

The following morning we were awakened around 9 am to the sound of some serious construction noise. It sounded as if metal pilings were being driven into the ground.

Eventually, a room was available at the Esmeralda. The Esmeralda staff was quite apologetic, provided us with an upgraded room (pool side, nothing special), a note from the front office manager and a small serving of fruit was sent to the room.

Housekeeping was disappointing, if it weren't for the bed being made we would have not known anyone had serviced the room.

The room not being available when I held a "guaranteed" reservation is unforgivable and enough for us to not make a return visit.

I had a wonderful stay. The hotel was clean and quiet.

This hotel made me feel relaxed: I felt relaxed in the nice and clean bed.

I have no complaints whatsoever. I will definitely go back.

The hotel was probably a little nicer than the Hyatt Grand Champion’s neighbor where I had stayed a month before. The only disappointment was the long walk from the elevator to the room or the pool, as one elevator was out of order. I think they do not have a restaurant which is another inconvenience. The pool and hotel themselves were very nice. The mini-suite room was elegant with a large and beautiful bathroom.

This is a very nice hotel with a good pool. The location was close to town. Parking was terrible most of the time, though.

We really enjoyed it. But the restaurant was inconsistent.

This hotel made me feel extravagent: I didn't think it was going to be as nice as it was. I liked the carpet change everyday in the hotel elevator

The hotel was in a beautiful location and had a great staff. However, I would advise other tourists to avoid using the valet -- they were somewhat expensive ($18/day) and in the heat, failed to do simple things like leave the air conditioning on in the car while it sat in front of the hotel awaiting your arrival. The hotel restaurant serving Italian food was wonderful, and the local cuisine restaurant was also quite good. The concierge will assist you with anything, and the staff, by and large, is very helpful. All in all, the hotel is a wonderful vacation location!

This hotel made me feel respected: The hotel staff was prompt at all times, showing their appreciation for you as a guest. The staff was always exceptionally courteous, using proper forms of address and deference.

We had a good experience. I had a great facial!

The location was gorgeous, allowing me to indulge in my passion for landscape photography. The staff was great and the room was kept very clean. The hotel is close to some fabulous shopping as well, and the golf course is very popular. The pool even has a man-made beach at the shallow end, which several kids were enjoying. I noticed that the lifeguard was very friendly toward the children. If you can't handle the heat, I would not recommend planning a trip in the summer. The hotel shops were also reasonably priced, especially with the sale items.

This hotel is in a great location, very comfortable, and with excellent service. It's a very big hotel so if facing the pool area, there is actually parking in the back of the hotel that will save walking time.

The staff did not know how to direct me to park near my room, the room was dingy and rundown, and the walls were so thin I could hear everything in the hallway and next door. For the price and rating of this hotel, I was sadly disappointed and will not stay there again. I even wrote a letter to them and never got a reply. They had very poor customer service, in my opinion.
