This hotel is very close to the Atlanta airport. It is probably not a place you'd stay unless you were specifically trying to get accommodations close to the airport. By close, I mean like my room had a direct view of the runway and control towers. Surprisingly, there wasn't much noise. I mean, I could sort of hear a few planes take off and land, but the noise was not a problem for me at all.
I stayed on the top floor, which has Business Class rooms. We were upgraded to the Honeymoon package because we were staying here the night before we left for our honeymoon. The room was nice, big bed, big TV, balcony, and robes. The hotel brought us Champagne with chocolate-covered strawberries, a nice touch.
We ordered room service, it came in less than 20 minutes and was good. No complaints.
The fitness room is decent. It's not that big, but it did have two elliptical machines that my husband and I worked out on. The women's locker room was sort of a mess, there was water all over the floor and random towels and hair on the counters. But it was a Sunday evening, so I wasn't all that surprised.
The hot tub was okay, it wasn’t warm enough, but still a hot tub. The outdoor pool was small and can be seen by half of the hotel (which always makes me feel a little self-conscious), but it was clean and adequate for a quick dip. I wouldn't think you'd want to spend a huge amount of time by the pool here, though. It's sort of basic and functional, but that's it.
Overall, I'd say this is a solid, clean, well-managed hotel that's perfect for people who need a good place to stay near Atlanta Hartsfield.
Oh, and the shuttle service was on time and efficient.
