I thought the room was small, and for the price I would have expected an in room coffee maker. We have stayed at many hotels in Cleveland and they at least provided that!
We are staying at this hotel because my grandpa is having heart surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. The hotel is ok, but it's more of a three star hotel or something... I don't know too much about hotel ratings. Anyway... they charge you $13 a day to get internet, my cousin tried it and said it wasn't worth it... We used to be on the 9th floor in a room that was ok in size, and we moved down a floor to a bigger room. However when we were on the 9th floor my cousins were in the room next door, which cost the same as the one we were in, but was a bigger size. Now we are in a bigger room (my cousins went home already... lucky) , and I was able to find free wifi (from a nearby building or something), but it only works by the window, and it's not very fast. Beats no internet at all. Online they said the hotel rooms have mini fridges in them, but so far none of the rooms we've been in had a mini firdge. The hotel has a little shopping mall next to it with a few stores and resturants, but not many. You can get to the mall through a walkway and you don't have to go outside, but the stores in the mall close at 7 pm, which is pretty early (the resturants stay open later). There is a club lounge where they serve snacks and have couches and stuff. There is an indoor pool (having an outdoor pool in Cleveland would be pretty stupid, except maybe in July.) but I've never been to it, and the hotel has two resturants that I also haven't been to. The room service food is ok, at least for breakfast - my cousins ordered food the first night (I think it was chicken) and it made them sick, so it might not be a good idea to order food at the end of the night... for breakfast though, it's pretty good, they give you fresh berries, and sometimes suprise you with chocolate strawberries or a little chocolate model of the hotel. As for the location, there is a bus across the street, and on the bus it takes about 10-15 minutes to get to the Cleveland Clinic (it's a really great hospital btw). The hotel is also walking distance to the basketball arena where they have the Cavs games, and I think it's also walking distance to the Indians baseball stadium. We rented a car for the first week of our stay and went to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame... speaking of cars, parking in the garage costs money but Idk how much cause I wasn't the one who paid. =) The things that could make this hotel better would be free wifi and if the mall stayed open a little later that would be nice too... but we aren't going to the mall anymore so it doesn't really matter anyway.... but I would love free wifi. Also, Cleveland can get pretty cold, it was snowing the first day we were here, and right now it's 46 degrees outside, in the middle of April. So bring a jacket! =) Also they have movies in the hotel rooms, even ones that are still in the movie theaters, but it costs $13 to watch a movie, when at home where I live payperview is only about $5 for mostly the same movies, such as Twilight, there was also a movie on there called Benjamin Button, etc. (this is in April 2009). The mall has a movie theater I think but I really don't know. Overall though this is a nice hotel =)
