Avoid this hotel. It's supposed to be one of the best in Chicago, but I'm proof that this place is not all that it's cracked up to be. We ended up cancelling our reservation and having to move to the Omni Hotel on Michigan Ave. Thank goodness because the service at the Renaissance was a joke. We arrived after check in time, only to find out that our room was not available. We spent 2 1/2 hours in the lobby while my husband tried to get some answers from the front desk. He even spoke to the manager. No one seemed to care that I was spending my 40th birthday in their lobby and missed our dinner reservation. The lobby is gorgeous, but the people are rude and very difficult to work with. We just wanted a room with 2 queen beds, which we reserved...but it was not going to happen, even though we were told that our room was being cleaned...for 2 1/2 hours. RIGHT!! Our family strongly recommends that you look past this hotel...it's not worth the stress. You would be treated better at a Super 8!

The hotel was beautifully decorated, the views outside our windows were breath taking. The hotel staff helped us with directions getting around chicago. The entire staff was helpful and everyone we encounted was very gracious.

My husband and I had a very upsetting experience at your hotel today. I booked a room for my husband and me to celebrate his birthday and was told that my room would include a hot tub and separate shower as well as Champaign and Strawberries. When ...
I loved the hotel. The staff was friendly, the room and bed was just outstanding and the view was breath taking. The room that we had overlooked the skyline of the city. Everything we wanted to see and do was in walking distance. We enjoy our stay...
