43 year old female with a economy budget, traveling for leisure
The front staff needs to be more 'welcoming' to all that stay, and perhaps be a little less judgmental, or at least to hide it. The overall experience was nice.
This hotel made me feel comfortable: I felt that the front desk personnel could have been much more polite; I was treated as if were below them. My children were with me as usual and they are quite well behaved, yet the front staff nearly scowled as we walked to the front desk!

Every time I stay at the Renaissance in Austin, Texas, I received only quality service from the quality staff.
This hotel made me feel pampered: I was attending and presenting at a conference held at the hotel. There was a fruit tray and a welcome card in my room when I arrived.

It was a beautiful hotel with nice meeting rooms. However, the banquet room downstairs (it seemed to have been a parking garage at one time) was not at all good for seating a large number and presenting programs. The sound and light technicians were very helpful.
This hotel made me feel welcome: I appreciated the smiling clerks, accurate check-in, efficient bellhops, valet service and the knowledgeable concierge. They served great food; chocolates were left on the pillows and the bed covers were turned down. Check-outs were efficient and fast. Overall, they exceeded expectations.

Being located adjacent to a shopping/restaurant center which could be reached on foot was a big plus.

I normally travel with two specialty dogs (TV and modeling dogs) and this Renaissance treats me so graciously even though I have animals.
This hotel made me feel respected: I stay there every time I make a trip to Austin (4-7 times per year) and they always treat me as though I am an important person.
