Relax Inn / Red Carpet - Page 1

This was our 5th+ stay in the Tonawanda Red carpet Inn as we visit from Italy quite often. We stayed on Xmas eve this year so the hotel was very empty. Check-in and check-out was speedy as usual. The room was comfortable as we were able to turn the heat off to keep the room at a comfortable temperature.

We stayed at the Red Carpet Inn,Tonawanda, Buffalo Ny for one night on August 4 after visiting Watkins glen (30min drive) in the day. We were very pleased with the hotel. We had a room with 2 double beds and it was very spacious - in fact bigger than rooms at 3 star hotels. But the beds were good, the sheets and bathroom were clean, so it was great value for us to spend the night. They also had a nice, free continental breakfast in the morning. I would recommended to my friends and all family visitors in Niagarafalls, Ny, region.

First off, I haven't been at this hotel in over a year from this posting. When I did stay there, it was okay for both myself and my girlfriend. It wasn't the best, nor was it the worst. It simply served it's purpose--a place temporary place to stay. I've heard that they rennovated it since then. Having said that, this review may be a tad outdated.

PROS:

*It's not far from places to eat and shop.

*Cable TV--We got the Playboy Channel, which was new for us. While in our room, we watched some hilarious hypnotizing show on that same channel. there were some movie channels such as HBO, SHO, CINEMAX included.

*There was a little fridge.

*Easy to get a room (especially when every other hotel in Buffalo, NY was booked for the weekend).

CONS:

*Pricing--I didn't think that it was worth what they were asking per night.

*The bathroom lighting wasn't too good. A bit dim for my tastes. Again, they may have changed this since I was there last.
