38 year old female with a economy budget, traveling for leisure

The place looks nothing fancy, but clean. We checked in and left to grab a bite. When we returned, we discovered roaches. At this time we asked for a refund. They refused a refund but offered to clean the room. Roaches can't be clean in 30 minutes. Explained to the worker, we just wanted to go elsewhere. We had a handicap women and needed to get her settled in but the man refused to reason. How do you not reason when it comes to roaches and common courtesy handicap people.
