Unfriendly Manager – Posted May 06, 2008

Horrible
47 year old with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

We have this hotel booked for my daughter's wedding in Belgium WI

We have a "Block of Room Reservation" completed with the manager back in 2007 with a price of "$99 a night". Now as guests are calling to book their rooms they are told $169.00 a night, cash upfront, no credit cards, no refunds if cancelled. The reason given for the increase is the Milwaukee area is hosting a major event and hotel rooms are booked all over (Milwaukee is 40 miles away). This is completely unfair to us and our guests. Both sets of parents of the happy couple have contact the manager of this hotel to work out a fair compromise only to be hung up.

We have since been told that any of the block of rooms that are not used the hotel will still charge full room rate. We have a July 30, 2008 release date of any unfilled rooms on the Room Reseversation Form. If we weren't in a bind for rooms for our out of town guests I would completely walk away from this hotel
