Regency Court Hotel Hotel - Page 1

When I rated this hotel on another venue, my rating was much lower, but it shouldn't have been. I stayed here for two nights at the end of May in 2005. It was the tail end of my trip. The desk even got a car to take me to the airport very early the last morning. They were very helpful.

Granted, I was a novice traveler, even after three weeks in England and Scotland, but I don't have a single complaint. The property is in a great location; it's a quiet street even though Marylebone is only a short way up the block. It's easy to get other places in London - the Baker Street tube stop is only a few blocks walk away. I walked a lot anyway because I wanted to see Mayfair (on foot from St. James back to the hotel). Unbelievably, I didn't get a picture of the hotel even though I got everything else. Six of London Bridge!

I believe there was a lift; I don't recall. Breakfast was in the basement, as Frommers said. It was acceptable; I was too busy to be fussy. I only had a few days in London at that time. I'm debating about going back next year for a week, my only hesitation is most of my sight-seeing will be in the Victoria area. Plus my tours will leave from Victoria or Waterloo. If I could move the Regency southward, that would be great.

The price couldn't be beat; a lot less than the 168 GBP quoted. Not as good as I did in Cumbria and Scotland, but I didn't expect to. A real find
