47 year old with a luxury budget, traveling for business
I dont know where some of these reviews come from. I have stayed in $150.00 a night rooms that were no where near as clean as this room. The furniture looked new, the bedspreads were bright, the sheets were white (no stains to be found) the bed was
I lost my purse enroute to Louisville to meet my daughter. She had paid for two rooms - guaranteed for late arrival. On arrival I explained my dilemma but could not check in because I had no credit card, no ID and no money. The desk clerk said I could have a room and would have to wait until my daughter arrived around 9 pm - it was 2:30 pm. This was after discussing the situation with my daughter on the phone. I was able to scrape up enough change from my car to pay $2.76 for a hamburger. When I got back to the motel, the clerk gave me a key to a room but said I would have to leave if my daughter didn't get there by 9. I then got a call from my daughter that they had car trouble and didn't know whether they would even get there. My daughter called 1-800-REDROOF and wanted to know if she had to pay for the rooms if she didn't make it. They assured her she would. She asked why then would her 64 year old mother have to go to a homeless shelter for the night when the rooms were paid for. After the supervisor finished with the desk clerk she was offering me part of her own supper.
The rooms are nicely remodeled and very clean so we stayed there again on June 23rd. We did have to change rooms 3 times until we got a nonsmoking room that didn't reek of smoke. Go early if you stay there so you will have time to get a suitable room.

The desk clerk was prompt, friendly and let me know of the coffee bar set up every morning (morning coffee is very important to me). They pointed out the display of local sights if I was interested.
