I made a reservation morning of travel date in late 1/2007. I was given confirmation and a room number since I needed the ground floor for limited mobility.
I got in after 9 pm and room had been given to someone else. I was assigned a second floor room and went back since could not climb stairs. I got a second room and put the key in the door and opened it to find three other people already in it. I went back to front desk and got no resolution. I left and went to another motel at 11:30 pm.
I called the next morning to find out what happened. The desk person thought I was in the second room. I got that changed and got back into original room for remaining two days of my reservation. I asked the manager to call and discuss the episode. No call. I wrote to the manager on 2/4/2007 and have received no reply as of 3/9/10. I called last week and left another message, but I still got no call. I was trying to resolve situation because I needed 8 rooms for graduation at JAX NAS for last week of March.
The only good thing was young lady at front desk on Friday and Saturday mornings and her service. The rooms were adequate. They permitted my two small Chihuahuas. I am not planning to every come back to Red Roof Inn regardless of how many times I come to Jacksonville NAS and area. There’s no excuse for the treatment I received.
Never have I ever been given a key to a room that was already assigned and occupied. Imagine my and the room occupants surprise when we both had keys that fit!
