This hotel was exactly what we needed, a great price for a one night stay while traveling. Easily accessible from Interstate 40. We arrived late, and left early, so we were interested in a clean, safe, comfortable room without the pricey extras.

I called before arriving and the receptionist was too busy to quote me a price. An hour later, I decided to stop at the hotel to get a price for the room. The receptionist was still "busy" talking to her friends who were visiting her in the lobby. She seemed annoyed because she had to help me. She quoted me a different price than what was on the sign outside and made excuses as to why it was different. I decided not to stay and called the Red Roof Inn 800 number, to complain upon leaving. The 800 number would give me the correct rate but I decided I did not want to deal with the receptionist again. Stayed down the Street at the Jameson Inn which was wonderful.

The hotel was very well located to the interstate, shopping, dining and leisure activities. The hotel staff was very friendly and responsive to special needs of a traveling companion with back problems.
They made sure to answer all questions concerning directions or info on restaurants.
I am very likely
to return to the Red Roof Inn Hickory.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Have stayed many times.... We have stayed here when visiting family for over 15 years, and at first this was a great place to stay. However, I think they have the same beds that they had then, because now it is like sleeping on the springs themselves, you can actually feel the springs through the top of the mattress. The cleanliness has declined and the overall feel of the place has deteriorated greatly. We stayed earlier in '06 and decided it was time to move on to a better place. It's a shame, because it is convenient to our family's location, but while the price goes up the quality has gone down.
I am not likely
to return to the Red Roof Inn Hickory.
I would not recommend it to friends.

The hotel is well located for shopping, eating and all the activities. It is located right off the interstate exchange. I have always enjoyed my stays there.
They were quick to attend to any extra comforts we needed as we had my brother in law with us that has a very bad back.
I am very likely
to return to the Red Roof Inn Hickory.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

This was a very nice, clean motel and in a good location to visit family. However the hotel is down an incline with only a small sign near the road and was very hard to find when we first checked in.
They had a sunny warm smile at the reception desk.
I am very likely
to return to the Red Roof Inn Hickory.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
