This is a small hotel conveniently located in downtown Columbus, it’s within comfortable walking distance of Nationwide Arena. There are restaurants and shopping located nearby. Parking is located in a private lot across the street.
We stayed two nights in May 2006. Our stay at this hotel surpassed all expectations that we had and was unlike any other Red Roof Inn experience we've ever had. Everything appeared to be either new or recently renovated. The lobby and hallways were clean and bright and attractively furnished. Our room was large, clean, comfortable, and well furnished. The room was professionally turned-down every day. The room rate was reasonable ($80/night) even though there was a major event in town. We requested and received a quiet room on the top floor. No noticeable noise inside or outside the hotel during our stay. It was one of the quietest hotel stays we've ever had, despite the fact that the hotel was at 90% capacity. The friendly hotel staff was very professional and courteous and responded to all of our requests very quickly and efficiently.
I've read the numerous other reviews about this hotel and it's difficult to believe that they're describing the same hotel. We travel a lot and our stay at this hotel ranks as one of the best we've had at any other lodging in the past 25 years, and that's quite a compliment. We had no problems or issues that would make us think twice about staying there again. We will definitely stay at this hotel again next time we're in Columbus and I would recommend it to anyone.
The only "complaint" would be that parking is located across the street in a private lot ($10 per day). Although the parking lot looks small, we didn't have a problem finding a parking space during our stay.
