55 year old with a moderate budget, traveling for business
The front desk personnel were friendly but that stopped when I stepped through the door to the restaurant. It was not very busy and there was no staff in sight. It took forever to get seated, then order, then receive food which was delivered lukewarm. When notified server he made no offer to remedy.
As a woman traveling alone I was sent to the last of four buildings which are open to anyone to walk in with no locks on the outer doors. I checked in Friday night and there was no place to park with cars up on curbs and parked anywhere and everywhere. Finally finding a spot some distance from the door I made a nervous walk through a dark lot. Never again!
They obviously make money allowing guests to leave their cars while gone on extended trips then re-rent rooms with no concern if there will be enough spaces for current guests.
I am not likely
to return to the Red Lion Portland Conv Center.
I would not recommend it to friends.
