Okay
Location.Hot tub turned off for the season. The Red Lion needs to step up. the old days of it being a quality hotel are in in the past. I won't stay there again.
33 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
Here's the thing...the choices in the area are few and far between. You have the budget category and this hotel. That's pretty much all there is.
Now, I remember staying at Red Lion Hotels frequently in my youth, as we lived in the Pacific Northwest, and they are prevalent. Over time, they have lost their pizazz, but they were all remodeled recently. The best part of the remodels have been the replacement of the beds with pillowtop mattresses. That's worth at least 5 points alone. They also put in new bathrooms which are very decent.
This hotel is not in the perfect spot. It has no view of anything memorable, unless you like parking lots, but there aren't any hotels in the area that do have a view.
Also, they take dogs and only charge $15.
Bottom line:
Pros - Clean, safe, good night's sleep at a reasonable rate.
Cons - Lackluster building with no view.
I am very likely
to return to the Red Lion Hotel Eureka.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Horrible
Nothing.Staff would not help with noise from many teenage guests in adjoining rooms. Noisy all night long. I would not stay in this hotel again or recommend it to anyone I know. Hotel staff does not care about comfort of guests. Some traffic noise...

Big rooms including fridge and microwave.Being charged a supplement for requesting a room with 2 beds - all hotels I have visited in USA only too happy to do this. Pleasant place to stay in Eureka.
