This Labor Day weekend 07 we went on a trip to Niagara Falls. Due to the scarcity of hotel we ended up at Red Carpet Inn at Phelps, NY. We thought that, well not the best but fair decision we made to stay at this hotel on our way from NY city to Niagara Falls. Since the hotel is just a couple of hours away from our destination we thought of leaving early in the morning. We reached there around early evening and checked in. Due to long drive we felt tired and fell asleep. Just after few moments, I felt like I got worst BEDBUG BITE . It's not only me even my wife got the same. So we went to complain and ask for another room. The hotel guy WAS NOT COOPERATIVE at all. We even showed him the rashes. Instead of providing us another clean room the guy shamelessly and rudely acted on us. We asked for the refund so that we could move on to another hotel. Instead of getting sick it is better to avoid such kind of dirty hotel at any cost. So my FRIENDS whoever is looking forward to staying at Red Carpet Inn at Phelps, BE AWARE of nasty BEDBUGS and more nastier Inn's staff.
35 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
One of the worst Hotels in the world. The room was dark and smelled faintly of urine. The curtains were torn and disgusting. The bedsheets had hairs on them, the pillows were flat and everything had a greyish tint to it. There was mildew on the shower walls, the toilet seat was very badly worn and ill-fitting. There was a hole under the entry door that you could see daylight coming in! I'm sure that a small rodent could get in with no trouble. When we tried to plug in a light, we noticed a dirty wash cloth behind one of the pieces of furniture!
The cord for the light on the left side of the bed dragged across in front of the headboard and was definitely a hazard.
