Since there aren't many recent reviews, I decided I had to put my two cents in. The outside of the hotel was a little to be desired. I was even more leery when we were given the remote upon check-in. The inside was clean and recently updated. The only fault I have inside was the bathroom. Although it was updated with marble countertops, there air conditioning didn't make it in there. The shower curtain, because of the new energy efficient shower heads, I think, chased you around in the shower. We found that opening the window helped. I also found that there is a different Red Carpet Inn in Daytona and had to wonder if some of the comments were about that one. The pool was beautiful. And although the view of the hotel from the beach was not so good, they do have the name painted on the fence. (Which made beach walking and trying to find the hotel very helpful.) We booked this room for the Coke Zero 400 race over a holiday weekend so we were just happy to have a place on the beach. There are definitely better hotels but this served our purpose perfectly!
