25 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
Made several phone calls to many hotels / motels / inns in the Kelowna area prior to our trip, and was shocked at how high the rates are compared with other cities.
I found the Recreation Inn, which was still expensive but reasonably priced when compared to other Kelowna hotels, and made a booking after learning that their list of amenities was nearly identical to some of the Brand Name places (continental breakfast, wireless internet, pool, hottub, sauna) and then some! (BBQ's free to use, no charge for calls and parking!).
When we checked in, the exterior of the building looked like it could use a coat of paint, but the landscaping was breathtaking! Gardens full of brightly coloured flowers, plants and shrubs were everywhere the eye could see, and the staff at the desk were extremely friendly and helpful with good suggestions for where to eat, visit, etc.
The room was a nice size, although a bit out-dated as far as decor goes. The bathroom had recently been renovated, and if the motel continues with those renovations, they'll have a breathtaking property! Vessel sinks in the bathroom were very classy, and in-room hair dryers were a plus.
All in all I have recommended this motel to all my friends and family! At one point during our stay we witnessed an angry guest complaining to the desk clerk, and were extremely impressed with how the clerk handled the situation, as the customer was being very rude. Top notch staff, and with a little more work, a top notch motel!

I was in Kelowna for some business and just needed a place to stay overnight. I picked this hotel primarily for its location and the fact that it had wireless internet to occupy my evening. The location was very convenient - a 10 minute walk to where I needed to be, and plenty of food places around.
The rooms were small, but very clean with no disturbing smells. The staff was helpful and friendly. There was even a breakfast included - basic, but sufficient once again.
If I needed to stay in this area again, I would not hesitate to pick this place. Happy travelling to all.
