Rath Inn Inn - Page 1

This is the worst hotel room I have stayed in in several years, and was the only time I have demanded my money back. The door didn't latch, and the room was so cold I could see my breath. I had to get my down sleeping bag out of the car just to stay warm.

The most serious problem though was the heater. It had partially charred the surrounding wallpaper, and after running it for about an hour, I started to get dizzy and light-headed. i.e. a carbon monoxide leak in the room.

I can tolerate a lot of crapiness in a hotel, but this was the first time I felt like my life was actually in jeopardy if I let myself fall asleep. DO NOT stay here. Stay only at the Super 8; I found out that all 3 other nearby hotels are owned by the same management, and I would take my chances building a snow cave before I stayed in any of them.

We stayed there in 06/2007 and the staff was nice and the rooms were clean. The A/c wall unit was not sealed off and you could see day light through it. We had flies and mosquitoes coming in all night. If you had to stay there it is ok but I would choose Super 8 motel next time which is right next door over Rath Inn. I would have rather pay the 10.00 more.
