I have been staying at Rancho Las Palmas since the early 80's...It has always been a nice stay. The rooms have always been clean, the staff superb. I am so excited to see it completely renovated. I am now taking my 4 year old son who enjoys the pool and slide. Their Sunday brunch is yummy!!! This is one place I always return to even though I like to try out other resorts, nothing compares to this one.....

I really liked the overall look and feel of the hotel. It was also very convenient to shopping center across the street. The hotel rooms themselves could use a remodel. I was dissatisfied with spa services, a/c was not working upstairs and there was...

The decor and bathrooms are minus 10. Bring a flashlight. Every light bulb in the place has been changed to those energy saving bulbs one would expect to find in a rent control, residential income property.
The staff, including housekeeping, engineering, servers, room service people, is great. The food quality is uneven. The hotel layout is dysfunctional and not convenient.
With millions and millions of dollars of revamping, including enlarging the bathrooms, changing all of the decor, stripping the cottage cheese off the low ceilings, re-designing the walkways and access, it could be much better.
The location is great, the pool could be. The spa is confusing.

The place is fine. They have a huge hot tub and two pools outside. There are showers outside since you don't have to come up to your room and shower, which is really convenient. This is one of the fanciest hotels around. The rooms are very comfortable since you can sleep really easily. I would recommend it to people if they are trying to relax in the deserts in Southern California.
