Ramsey's Nevada Motel Motel - Page 1

I love the charm and feel of the place. It has a Route 66 feel to it. The metal lawn chairs on the porch in front of each room is a nice touch. I was impressed at how clean it was for what has to be a fifty year old motel. Way better that the soulless big box cheap hotels. The price is a little more than one of the budget hotels, but well worth it for the charm and huge bathrooms. An unexpected change in a world of sameness. Worth a look.

Our room smelled of must and old cigarettes. The carpet was full of spots and cigarette burns. There were rolie polies in the bathroom, as well as spiders.

We have had a daughter at Cottey College for 2 years and have stayed there at least 3 times. The rooms are big, the bathrooms are big. Showers and tubs nice....but the home spun of different colored towels from "the store". Not fancy but the price is right. Forget the continental breakfast!

This is a classic Eisenhower-era Motor Hotel.

It is clean as a pin, has huge bathrooms, a fridge, and a microwave. It has a large garden tub and a separate large shower in each room. It is a fun change of pace from the big chain hotels. My wife and I stay there every time we are in Nevada.

The board of a local college stays there when they are in town for meetings, so it may be booked up on certain dates. We had to stay at another hotel one night this fall, but moved to Ramsey's as soon as a room opened up.

They indicated a low price of $32, based on price made reservations online. The actual billing was $55.67, and they had a “Take it, or leave it” attitude.
