I'm Janet Moretti and I work at Plan USA, one of the largest non-profits working on behalf of needy children around the world. For nearly a decade, Ramada Plaza Resorts Orlando/Ft. Lauderdale Vacations (OFV) and Imperial Majesty Cruise Lines have been supporting the work of Plan USA. Despite some of the other comments posted, I feel compelled to talk about the wonderful philanthropic partnership Plan USA has with Ramada. In fact, since 2000, this travel industry leader has generously donated over $1 million to Plan USA.
Ramada (OFV)has helped us raise the funding and has generously supported the construction of primary and pre-schools in the poorest communities of Honduras, the Dominican Republic, and Bolivia.
Ramada Plaza Resorts chose to support these projects specifically as they benefit thousands of impoverished children. The projects ensure that boys and girls have appropriate, safe, and stimulating learning environments and provide the schools with furniture, equipment and training for teachers.
There are many corporations that have the potential to give to others, whether locally or globally. Its important to point out that Ramada is one that gives back for the benefit of others. This giving continues to have great long-term global impact improving the health, welfare, and education of the worlds children.

Horrible
I wish I had read the other reviews more carefully before booking this hotel! Lobby looks great but the rooms are terrible-very dirty. They hit us with a 3 buck a night "resort fee." Hah, nothing about this place says resort. We booked nonsmoking ...
39 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
I took my girlfriend on a little cruise vacation offered by Ramada & Imperial Majesty - the trip included 4/3 in Ft. Lauderdale Ramada, 3/2 in Orlando Ramada - on John Young Parkway. A cruise for both of us to the Bahamas from Ft. Lauderdale.
This cost 698.00 oh and a rental car, I did upgrade from a little compact ( that would of been included) to a G6 Pontiac for 140.00 more dollars. I'd say there were about 350.00 other misc charges - but in fairness I was told. 99.00 for the cruise - was paid when we booked the trip- Jennifer our travel person got us a great deal on the flight and made all the arrangements. Very efficient.
So for under 1000.00 plus drinking/ spending money - we had a great time. I see some complaints here - but really I think for what we spent it was a great value. Others are disappointed I suspect - and over heard - because they expected everything to be free or included or more directly - people who want the world for 698.00 - We had a good laugh over some people who despite having paid 698.00 still kept saying they had "won" the free trip. The one lady had a temper tantrum when on the cruise ship she found out she had to pay for her cocktails. Maybe she spoke to someone else - but when I bought the vacation I was told that alcoholic beverages were not included in the free food on the cruise ship. Isn't it that way everywhere else?
I would not go out of my way to stay at the Ft. Lauderdale Ramada again... but it was not bad. Average. The Orlando place however exceeded our expectations and the staff was very friendly and helpful. If you want a 5,000.00 vacation - spend 5,000.00 , but don't buy a budget 698.00 vacation and expect the Ritz Carlton - then complain it is not "What you expected" and black eye a company offering a nice vacation at an affordable price. I think like us - this is a great vacation for those who can't afford 5000.00 Thanks for a wonderful trip.
