The patio door creaked and it needed oil, the room was not very nice, the pool was very hot, the hot tub shut off too fast. The hotel was designed poorly, I had to walk up a big hill from the parking lot to get into the hotel, and parking spots were not near the entrance. The elevator was broken, the club and the bar closed earlier than posted.
I am not likely
to return to the Ramada Plaza Orlando.
I would not recommend it to friends.

The hotel is ok-good value for the price. However the advertised buffet for both dinner and breakfast is a giant rip off. In addition to the advertised price, you pay a gratutity for service (I saw the waitress 2 times) and an adminstration fee. ...

I made reservations through Ramada.com, and I received a direct phone number to the hotel. I called the hotel directly to cancel one of the two days of my original reservation. The person on the phone initially wanted to charge me a higher rate for the remaining night, but she changed it to my original rate and confirmed my new reservation.
When I arrived, the desk manager received me with an almost hostile manner. He said that there was no record that I had changed the reservation and that I had been charged for a no-show. He seemed to imply that it was my fault, not the error of the desk person with whom I talked on the phone.
Also, the room that I wanted was not available, and I was downgraded from a king size bed to a queen size bed without a decrease in the rate. Although the manager finally gave me the original internet rate and removed the no-show charge, he kept insisting that it was my fault that I didn't get the desk person's name who messed up the reservation. In my opinion, I am not responsible for employee incompetence and poor communication. The fault was entirely on the desk employee, and the manager should have understood that obvious point.
The room and the rest of the service were fine, but the way that this manager initially treated me really lowered my opinion of this hotel.
