Ramada Plaza Hotel West Hollywood Hotel - Page 1

We stayed at Ramada during May 08 and found everything to be pleasant and in good order. Everything was spotless which was a major issue I was worried about as we were travelling with young children (youngest 4). The staff were very helpful. The rooms were not large but very comfortable. The only problem we encountered was that there was only really one family eating place within walking distance. Great location and value. Maybe hotel has new management as we did not have an issues.

I booked a room at the Ramada for my elderly mother, with a specific request for the third floor. They had no record of the reservation and were very unapologetic about it. Neither staff member was well-versed in customer service and rather defensive. At one point, the young lady taking care of our order walked away. I agree with other comments that the lighting was poor. The lamp that was supposed to be activated by the light switch had been removed. They also charged twenty-something dollars a day for guests to park their car there at the hotel! The only thing going for this establishment is its location.

It was located conveniently near West Hollywood restaurants and bars. The rooms were minimal, but clean. There was no view, but it was quiet considering the Santa Monica boulevard location. There was no bar in the hotel.

Although rebuilt, the hotel has historic significance.

It served its purpose. They just did not tell us they changed our rooms, because we were not there for about seven hours. At ten p.m. we had to switch rooms. They asked us if we saw the phone flashing, I said no we came right downstairs when the room was not made up and the bathroom looked a mess. There was a backup in the tub. That was the problem. Otherwise it was not a bad stay at all.

This hotel made me feel respected: After our incident they always did everything they could for us.
