Ramada Plaza Hotel San Diego

THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY. IT WAS A QUICK CHECK IN. WE ARRIVED AT OUR FLOOR THE ENTIRE FLOOR REEKED OF POT. WE GET INTO OUR ROOM IT SMELLED MUSTY AND THE WINDOW WAS TINY. WE WERE UNPACKING WHEN I NOTICED THE TILE SOAP DISH OFF THE WALL ON THE FLOOR. SOMEONE HAD PULLED IT OFF THE WALL. GOT A NEW ROOM. AN UPGRADE TO BUSINESS. ONLY DIFFERENCE WAS AN ADDITIONAL UNIT WITH A MICROWAVE. DIRTY BATHROOMS. THE COMFORTERS WERE STAINED AND THE RUGS HAD OBVIOUSLY NOT BEEN VACUUMED. IT WAS LATE SO WE HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO STAY. FOR THIS THE CHARGED US $167 A NIGHT. DISGUSTING. RUN DOWN. NEEDS NEW WALLPAPERS. BETTER SANITATION. WILL NEVER RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE.

We encountered a housekeeper who was dishonest and a thief. When we confronted the problem the manager told us in so many words, it happened and you cannot prove it. we will never stay at ANY Ramada hotel because of this terrible experience! Also we purchased a movie and the sound to the movie would not work. when we called the front desk they stated "sorry, your problem."

Rooms were clean. Staff was helpful. Pub was the absolute best at the end of a stressful or exhausting day. Dinner at the Tickled Trout was a bit pricey, but oh so good. Breakfast very reasonable and delicious. The decor in both the pub and restaurant was comfortable and beautiful. If I am ever in San Diego again, I will be right there. I have recommended to friends.

We stayed one night at this hotel. We got to the hotel after dinner at 10:30 only to find that there was absolutely no parking. The hotel personnel did nothing to help. They told us that since they don't charge for parking, they don't guarantee parking and that there was nothing that they could do. When asked if I could speak to the hotel manager, they said that she had left for the day and that they could not contact her. I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL EVER AGAIN.

The staff was very helpful. They brought us a small refrigerator for flowers from Hawaii. The staff answered all questions quickly. The maid did excellent job. However, there was a mold smell in room which affected my wife. We brought some air cleaner that helped.

This hotel made me feel secure: They had secured doors to the outside. There was nice lighting in the parking lots which were close to the building.
