This stay at the ramada limited at 1940 lombard in san francisco, Ca was the worst stay in a hotel I have ever experienced. when checking in the attendant at the " Front Desk" refused to look at the paperwork we had from our online reservation. And gave us a double bed room instead of the single king we had reserved online. once in the room, the towels were dingy, not matching and torn. The pillow cases were torn and stained and the sheets in both beds were stained. I do not claim to be a serologist but i thought it was pretty evident one of the stains was indeed blood.
The "Front Desk" was called to bring up a new set of sheets. just one set cause my girlfriend and I would be sleeping in the same bed. Twenty minutes later the attendant from earlier brought up one sheet. not fitted but the top sheet. so how it was intended to stay on the bed was beyond me. Earlier in the afternoon we called the relative who had made and paid for the reservations to advise them we were not given a single king but instead forced to be in a double bed room. this relative tried several times to phone the " front desk " to resolve the issue but the phone calls were not returned until sometime after 10pm.
At this point the attendant came up to our room, woke us up and told us we were being moved into a single king room. I was very upset with the notion of having to be moved into another room. My girlfriend and I were both exhausted from the trip earlier that day. Needless to say we did not want to be disturbed. So the relative that booked the room was called and said we could do what ever we would like it was late and she didn't want to be disturbed anymore.
To resolve the issue i advised the attendant that it was fine we could stay in the room but i expected the difference in price if any to be refunded. He went on to tell me he could not do that and I would have to speak to a manager. After a few back and forths of that I asked how this mistake could even be made. i was then told another reservation had been made with the same last name for a double bed room and thats how the mistake happened.
when i asked to see the reservation with the same last name he motioned for us to head down to the lobby and look at it. half way there he told me the manager wouldnt let me see the reservation and showing me would put his job in jeopardy. when i asked to speak to the manager he said sure and handed me a cordless phone. when i asked for the managers number i was told he was unavailable and even then this fiasco would put his job in jeopardy also. at this point i had been lied to several times, the person who had booked the room was lied to when the front desk told her we did not speak up about the rooms and my girlfriend and i were extremely tired and upset.
So instead of pursing the matter further and causing more of a ruckus on my girlfriends birthday i retired to my room to stay up for a few more hours frustrated with your hotel and your staff. Again this trip was the worst i have ever taken,
