Ramada Limited Calhoun Motel

We are seniors traveling on a budget. My handicapped wife and I stayed in handicap access room #114, a king bed room, on a Tuesday, 15 April, 2008. Other than one broken electrical wall plug in the room, and the motel owner's children playing in the parking lot and directly at the door of our room as we were checking in, this is one of the finest budget motels we experienced in our 25 day and 11 motel recent trip. Check-in and check-out were a snap and the desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The price was right ($49.39 total). The room was large and clean; the bathroom and vanity were clean and well lighted; the water pressure and drainage were very good and the shower head pressure and adjustments were much appreciated after an 8 hour drive. There were no lingering odors in the room; the bed was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast (including biscuits and sausage gravy) was tremendous and delicious. There were even real glass juice glasses and coffee mugs. This motel is close to I-75 and next door to a Shoney's Restaurant. The room was quiet and safety precautions were in place. I would recommend this motel to all travelers and we would definitely stay here again.

I liked the fact that the hotel was close to restaurants, stores, etc. The rooms were clean. The rooms had irons, ironing boards, coffee pots, refrigerators, and microwaves. I did not like the fact that not all the rooms had a microwave.

This hotel made me feel relaxed: I was able to read, watch TV, or whatever without being disturbed.

We were pleased with our stay at the Ramada.

This hotel made me feel content: The room was comfortable with a good mattress... Needed a good nights rest after traveling by car all day.
