I am bringing Special Olympics athletes to Austin for the bowling competition Feb. 4-6, 2009. I had intended to use my AmEx card to hold the room. The agent insisted that in order to secure the rooms, I had to pay for them then. That put between $600 and $700 on my card. The Director of Finances of our district instructed me the following day to cancel the rooms on my credit card and it would be put on the District's card. The 2 agents I spoke with at hotels.com said the rooms were nonrefundable and I could not do that. I then tried to get in touch with the manager of the hotel. Two calls later I still haven't heard from him. My advice don't use their booking service and I'm beginning to wonder about the competence of the management.

I checked into this hotel on March 1, 2008. When we got to the room we noticed dried up vomit on the walls, ceiling, pictures and pillows. The bathroom floor was disgustingly dirty, tissue holder was falling off the wall, the light didn't work, and the electrical outlets were not covered. Honestly it looked and smelled like a place for homeless drug users. When I called the front desk to tell them about the filth, the girl behind the desk asked why I checked in at 4 and didn't call until 7. What????????????? Hello???? VOMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What difference does it make HOW long it took me to notice????? Then the manager offered to let me have the room for free that night. We immediately packed up and drove back to Houston as quickly as we could. Stay far, far, far away from this one!!!!!!
I called in advance and was put on hold each time i called. People were so RUDE. I was told they accepted pets there and they dont. I was told the rooms was equipped with refrigator and microwave and there was not any in there. Paint around the...

This hotel looked better on the computer than in person. And as for the smell in the hallways, it was a combination of mustiness and dampness. We endured spending only one night and then moved over to Extended Stay America, which was clean, roomy and affordable.

This hotel is conveniently located right on the interstate. We were just passing through Austin, but if we were to stay, it wasn't far from capital. The hallways reaked, but the room itself did not smell as bad. Free wi-fi was a plus as it...
