Ramada Inn and Suites Gaslamp Hotel

Great location. Historic hotel with some charming elements. Great suites with two separate bedrooms at good price. Old plumbing means shower can quickly turn scalding hot and freezing cold. It takes the valet at least 20 minutes to get your car, so be prepared. I would stay there again, with the necessary preparations.

It is a comfortable hotel, with reasonable service.

The location in the Gas Lamp District was excellent. I liked the old-fashioned charm of the hotel. The staff was friendly. I would have preferred to have on site self serve parking. Their valet parking was adequate, though not cheap.

This hotel made me feel hip: It felt very good to stay in one of the most attractive, happening locations in San Diego.

This was a remodeled old hotel and it showed. The elevator worked only half the time. Elevators were claustrophobic in size. The staff was less than helpful. Room information from the website was misleading - this was a frumpy old hotel that promised more than it gave. The rooms were undersized and poorly laid out - the coffee maker was on the nightstand, for example. There was no closet, just a shelf in a corner. The shower was tiny, if we had been plus sized we could not have used it.

This hotel is a very nice place to stay.
