Ramada Inn St Augustine Hotel

Why do places advertise they are pet friendly, but they are clearly, NOT? Let's start by saying the room was okay. The bed was comfy and the linens were nice, but the bathroom was in need of new fixtures and I kept getting scalding hot water in the middle of my shower. It rained much of the time there, so we were stuck inside watching television and the television had poor reception on all but 5 channels. There was algae/mold growing in the corner of the bathroom, and the chairs in the room were very old and dirty. They also advertised being in the "heart of St. Augustine". No, they are about 5 blocks from the old city, so be prepared to walk or pay $21.00 per person to take a trolley. Back to my original beef with Ramada...., the signage and the webpage ensure they are pet friendly. However, they do NOT explain that just like most places, they will charge for each pet. We were NOT told this until checking out. How convenient! I guess that is what we get for not staying at a La Quinta like we always do!

We were so pleased with this stay. It was only for a night stop over on our way to south Florida, but I was very happy. There was a restaurant in the lobby that served decent food. The staff was very professional. There was a very well maintained pool and jacuzzi which felt great after a very long drive. We were in the historic area and just minutes from so many things to do and see. The price was not bad and the service was excellent. I even found them to be very handicap friendly. I was able to take the elevator to the second floor where my room was. The handicap parking was also located right near the elevators. The room was very big and comfortable. There was a microwave and refrigerator in the room. The bath was roomy and cozy. Coffee pot and ironing board with iron were also included in the room. You may also order room service for a small fee from the restaurant as well as numerous restaurants in the area. Awesome facility!

I have stayed at this hotel many times and I always find it a pleasant experience. The staff is great. The rooms are always clean and have been recently updated.

The breakfast is a very nice addition. I loved the expanded shower curtain. As a bigger person, it gives me a bigger feel when showering.

The room was very comfortable. I would have liked a refrigerator, but for what I paid, I was completely satisfied. It was in a great location for what I wanted to do.

This hotel made me feel relaxed: It had a comfortable bed. I also found the bathtub comfortable as well and I liked having a coffee maker in the room.

The stay was great. I had no problems, they were very accommodating and fairly priced.
