Ramada Inn Lake Shore Hotel

I'm from Canada, and me and my mom went to Chicago just for 2 days. I booked this hotel b/c of its great rate and it said that it was only 10 min. away from downtown which was true (on car though)and I liked the idea of a shuttle service but it doesn't run on Sundays and it only runs at very specific times 3 times per day. Overall it's an ok hotel. I'd most likely go there again. Its really not that bad. It's not glamorous, but is liveable. There's a bus station 2 blocks away and to get downtown you take the Jackson 6. I felt that it was very safe. I thought the staff was very nice and so helpful! They answered so many questions about which buses to take, and locations of different places.

On my visit there some women told me they do not change the blank on the beds at all. I was very unhappy, I will never stay there again.

The location was good for us, near University of Chicago Hospitals. It was not the greatest for children, but close to good walking paths.

The room was dirty, the bathroom was dirty, the outlets did not work, there were not enough towels, the had two refrigerators but none worked. The lock on the door was broken.

The hotel provides good service.
