Ramada Inn Florence Hotel - Page 1

The hotel was ill prepared for travelers attending the NASCAR race. Some people weren't allowed to check in until after 7:00pm. The day after our check in, our room was not cleaned until 3:00pm, and housekeeping did not identify themselves and just walked in on us. Pool was filthy, poolside lawn chairs are not provided (who has a pool with no chairs!). The 6:30 - 9:30am free breakfast buffet was a joke. By 8:00, there was hardly any food left. The dining room was filthy. Front desk staff were rude and were unable to answer any question you might have.

The hotel started showing its age. The bathroom had repairs that were amateurish or not professionally completed. The room lighting was unacceptably low, but this is the case with most motels and hotels.

It was a nicely kept older hotel with plenty of personality.

This hotel made me feel welcome: Call it southern hospitality maybe, but all of the staff said hello when you walked by and the restaurant staff all stopped to say good-bye when we left. I thought that was particularly nice.

It was dirty, smelly, and they had bugs. One person in our party had to switch rooms three times upon arrival to get a room that was clean and unoccupied.

This was the dirtiest room I have ever seen. It smelled bad, and had vomit on the sink. We had to go buy bleach and clean the room before we were able to sleep. We ate at the Mexican restaurant there. We got so sick the next day - both of us had bad stomach problems. I meant to call and complain but have not had the time.
