Ramada Inn Austin Central Hotel

Report any damages to your room upon check-in. Unauthorized charges on my credit card for room damages which existed prior to my arrival. Hole in wall was patched with a square of wallpaper, which was falling off. Disputing charge of $250. Have read other reviews stating similar experiences.

I was paying cash on check out but used my bankcard to put a hold on the room. They messed up and swipped my card three times. When the charges showed and brought to their attention, they did nothing about it. And then after paying cash they still charged my card! The atmosphere is horrible and draws an awful sort of people. There were empty beer cans in the elevator, and when brought to their attention they said housekeeping would be checking in around an hour and they would tell them. WHAT?! Go clean it up now! Besides the fraudulent charges they also charge a $200 damage fee per room ontop of the room charge! Yea, it gets taken off of hold on your account, but not for over 7 days. And the kicker is that they don't even tell you they are doing that! Do not stay here!

I have stayed there twice. The staff is very friendly. I will definitely be back, probably this weekend. They have a great breakfast, and it's cost efficient for sure!

It's convenient for my Austin business travel. It does have good internet access, which I need. It is an older motel with a friendly staff, but worn out furniture and accessories. I don't recommend it for leisure travel, because it's just not attractive.

This hotel made me feel welcome: The front desk person was alert and friendly. When a light in the room didn't work, a hotel employee was immediately taking care of it. Every time I asked a question I received a quick and accurate reply.
